Organisational culture change specialist, Pulse UK, acquires workforce engagement app, Ryalto, to create a tech-based culture change and leadership offering

Pulse UK currently delivers culture change and leadership behavioural change programmes to large and medium sized organisations. Ryalto have created a class-leading, smartphone-based app that connects people across medium to large-scale organisations. It utilises a fast, reliable and easy-to-navigate platform that is cross generational. Pulse UK feels that the ability to engage workforces more quickly using the app will complement its current culture and leadership programmes. Ryalto will benefit from the expertise Pulse has acquired from working with over 100,000 employees to date.

The app also can be used by staff to book shifts, reducing reliance on locum, agency and casual labour. Existing NHS clients have reported significant cost and efficiency savings, in line with Kings Fund research into the importance and business case for connecting a workforce.

“I have no doubt that the Ryalto App is a game changer for us” – Joe Harrison, CEO of Milton Keynes University Hospital, NHS Foundation Trust.

The enlarged group will be named Ryalto. It will offer communication, culture change and organisational development products, all delivered using tech platforms.

Ryalto will be led by Pulse UK’s Dennis Bacon, an experienced CEO and Chair, who has worked across private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Dennis will lead a team with strong backgrounds of successful delivery at a senior level within the NHS as well as private health and social care, Local Government, professional services, retail and hospitality.

Dennis says of the merger: “Improving staff engagement is vital if we are to tackle the challenge of building healthy organisational cultures. The class-leading technology developed by Ryalto is not only proven to engage and connect people but is highly complementary to the culture change programs we have been developing within Pulse. This acquisition will enable us to develop and deliver unique solutions to large-scale organisations who have hitherto failed to achieve positive change, through engaging and connecting their people to purpose”
